The Arkansas-Louisiana Executive Committee is the governing body that acts on behalf of the constituency (church members) between regularly scheduled conference sessions. Comprised of elected officers, conference workers, and laypeople, it manages, sets policies, and makes administrative decisions.

  • Authority: It functions as the second-highest authority after the constituency session, holding the power to appoint leaders, fill vacancies, and manage church property or employee credentials.

  • Responsibilities: Key roles include approving strategic plans, hiring or removing personnel for cause, and ensuring local operations align with union, division, and General Conference policies.

  • Frequency: These committees usually meet on a regular basis (e.g., several times per year) to handle ongoing business.
