The members of Springdale Adventist Fellowship gathered together with leaders from the Springdale Community, and area food bank leaders, to open its own food bank distribution center. The food bank dream was begun before COVID closed everything down, but COVID also revealed just how necessary this ministry was. The food bank will be open on Thursdays from 9am - 1pm, and on each Second Sabbath of the month. After signing in, individuals and families can "shop" for a specified number products and food items from different categories. They also receive health information as well as glow tracts and can sign up for Bible Studies.
SAF Lead Pastor Benjamin
Orian stated, “It’s exciting to see our members putting their faith to
work in tangible ways to make a positive difference in our community.
Our goal is to become such an integral part of our community, that we
can inspire others with hope and make connections that will impact and
reshape our community for Christian living and service.”
In John 13:55, Jesus says,
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for one another”. He said it best that we will be known by the way
we treat one another.
