Conference Constituency Meeting Called

The 36th Regular Session of the Arkansas - Louisiana Conference has been called. The meeting will take place in Texarkana, Texas.

Dear Arkansas-Louisiana Family,

Recently our Constitution and Bylaws Committee met and determined that we should have a regular constituency session during 2024. They made the recommendation to our Conference Executive Committee.

Last Thursday, our Executive Committee, voted to have our 36th Regular Session of the Arkansas-Louisiana Conference on Sunday, October 27, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas.

You will be getting more information as we move closer to the session date. We ask that you begin praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we prepare for the session and as we look forward to the future.

CPR, AED, and First Aid Training in Baton Rouge

We are thrilled to share the success of the recent Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training event held at Baton Rouge Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Endorsed by the church board and sponsored by the newly established Health Ministries Department, this initiative marks a significant step towards enhancing the safety and well-being of our congregation and community.

South Louisiana Camp Meeting

The South Louisiana Spanish Camp Meeting this year was themed “The Last 5 Minutes,” but it took more than five minutes to carry out the crusade. After ten evenings of meetings in various churches with successive sermons on
end-time messages, a convocation on Sabbath followed an Evangelistic Caravan.

We Are One

Nine polished medallions with their stiff blue and white Ozark Adventist Academy lanyards hung proudly from the chalkboard. Each circular orb with Abraham Lincoln’s outline etched into its face hid a five, ten, or twenty-dollar bill behind its back. Each shimmering medal would be a prize for one of the participants in Storie Giddings’ geography bee during the We Are One event on Ozark’s campus on February 27 – March 3, 2024.
